Daw dydd (I'r carcharorion fyn'd yn rhydd)

("Yr Arglwydd sydd yn gollwng y carcharorion yn rhydd.")
      Daw dydd,
I'r carcharorion fyn'd yn rhydd,
O'u holl gadwynau tynion sydd;
  Mor felus fydd eu canu hwy,
    Am ddyoddefaint addfwyn Oen,
  Bydd hyfryd son
          heb ddiwedd mwy.

      Y rhai'n
A wisgir oll a lliain main;
Telynau gânt o beraidd sain,
  I ganu anthem faith o glod,
    I'r Hwn fydd yn teyrnasu mwy,
  Am farwol glwy', tra'r nef yn bod.

      Fe ddaw
Yr hyfryd fore' mae gerllaw,
Bydd pawb a'i delyn yn ei law,
  Heb ofn na braw,
          yn nghwmni'r Oen,
    Yn canu i dragwyddoldeb maith,
  Ar ben y daith
          heb friw na phoen.

("The Lord is setting the prisoners free")
      The day is coming,
For the prisoners to go free,
From all their chains which are tight;
  How sweet shall be their singing,
    About the suffering of the gentle Lamb,
  It will be delightful to tell
          without any more ending.

      They
Shall all be dressed in fine linen;
Harps they shall have of a sweet sound,
  To sing a long anthem of praise,
    To him who shall be reigning evermore,
  About a mortal wound, while heaven exists.

      It shall come,
The delightful morning, it is at hand,
All shall have his harp in his hand,
  Without fear or terror,
          in the company of the Lamb,
    Singing for a vast eternity,
  At the journey's end
          without bruise or pain.
